Sri Sri Ravi Shankar:
The word destiny means Vidhi, this is how it is. The word Karma has several different connotations. It can mean action or latent action. The impression of an action that might give rise to another action can also be called karma.

Q: Gurudev, My faith is shaken. Can I as an individual help others to overcome this trauma?

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar:
Come on! A flood cannot shake your faith. Then it is no faith at all. Simply know that in every moment of crisis, you will get help and you are helped. There is a power that stands with you, which helps you. That is all you need to keep in mind.

If a torrential rain, or a flood, or a famine can shake your faith, then it is not really faith. It is an incidental concept, that's all. This is the testing time for faith, so keep it steadfast.

Dear Gurudev, when someone criticizes me I switch off and go into hiding. How to handle criticism without arguing and fighting?

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar:
Know that you’re magnanimous. Every time you face a criticism know that you are vast like the ocean, and you can take in anything.
When you feel small that is when you don’t feel like taking criticism. When you feel you are very big, then you think, 'I am much bigger than this criticism, let me take it in'.
